Coach Jesse & Coach Rob
Jesse Pellot-Rosa
Jesse J. Pellot-Rosa Jr. was born on July 4th, 1984 in Richmond VA. Jesse attended George Wythe High School and was named the Virginia State Player of the Year in 2002. Jesse was a two-sport athlete in high school. He received numerous Division 1 offers, for both basketball & football. He went to Fork Union Military Academy Prep School for one year to play football. After that year, he decided to further his basketball & educational career at Virginia Commonwealth University, as a walk-on.
At VCU, he majored in Business Management. During Jesse’s freshman year, as a walk-on, he made the game-winning free throw in the CAA championship game to send VCU to NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The following year, Jesse earned a full basketball scholarship. During his senior year, VCU made the NCAA tournament again & they upset Duke in the first round of the tournament. Jesse scored over 1,100 points, participated in 2 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournaments, 1 NIT tournament, & won 2 CAA championships.
After graduating from VCU, Jesse signed a 3-year non-guaranteed contract in the NFL with the New York Jets. Due to a hand injury, that was caused in training camp, he played in the first preseason game & then was waived soon after. Jesse went on to play professional basketball for 10 years, overseas. He played in Iceland, Denmark, Israel, Uruguay, Mexico, Dominican Republic, & Puerto Rico.
Rob Brandenberg

William "Rob" Brandenberg was born on February 26th, 1992 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised in Cincinnati for 12 years and then moved, with his family, to Columbus, Ohio to finish up his adolescent years. Rob attended Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio, and was a part of the boys' basketball program for three years. Rob led his team to the 2010 Ohio State Final Four, defeating the #1 team in the USA at the time, Columbus Northland.
His play at Lincoln High School drew attention from Division I schools. Ultimately, he made the decision to further his basketball and educational career at Virginia Commonwealth University. At VCU, he majored in Interdisciplinary Studies. He managed to complete his degree in 3.5 years. On the court, Rob scored 1,200 points, participated in four straight NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments, and played in the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball "Final Four.”
After graduating in 2014, Rob traveled the world and played professional basketball in Austria, Spain, Australia, and the Czech Republic. Rob is currently retired and played his final professional season in Tbilisi, Georgia.
